How to play our game
portrAIt is a party game revolving around the use of AI image generators. In each round, players will be challenged to use their prompting skills and an AI image generator of their choice to create brilliant and hilarious images from over 125,000 possible prompts.

Each round brings with it a new prompt comprised of three things: a subject, a scenario, and a modifier.

This could be something along the lines of <Sherlock Holmes> <tap dancing> <in the jungle>. Without using any of the key words indicated on the card (for example, “Baker Street”, “Detective” and “Sherlock Holmes” for this particular subject), players compete to craft the best instruction for their chosen AI software to produce the best image possible.
Here is our attempt: can you beat it?
We used the instruction "Victorian Man in a deer stalker doing Saturday Night Fever in a rainforest,” which gave us this image.
But what about when it goes wrong? As players are not able to use key words, they will need to be inventive and creative to persuade their generator to produce an image that fits the challenge. The fails are often more fun than the successes and this is where the game can get quite hilarious.

If we take another example of: <Julius Caesar> <doing karaoke> <in the bathroom> we might use the instruction: "Man in Toga in a shower with a microphone." This, however, generated this result:

Amusing, but not really what we wanted. We then refined our instruction and came up with "Man in Toga and laurel wreath standing upright in a shower singing into a microphone" and this gave us:

Much better and much more likely to score points!
